Our hair loss service provides you with a convenient and affordable way to manage your male pattern baldness, and empowers you to do so appropriately and safely. 

You can get the care and advice you need online without having to go to a traditional doctor’s office. Our medical team can prescribe treatment that’s effective at slowing and even reversing male pattern baldness.

'Androgenetic alopecia' is the medical term for male pattern baldness and is the most common form of hair loss in men. Male pattern baldness is caused by changes that result from your genes and hormones. 

We offer two types of treatment for male pattern baldness. Finasteride (generic Propecia®) is an oral medication that is effective at slowing and even reversing male pattern baldness. Minoxidil (active ingredient found in Rogaine®) is a topical treatment applied to the scalp that slows hair loss and promotes regrowth at the crown and middle of the head.

Our doctors and nurse practitioners can treat male pattern baldness based on your history, symptoms, and through the photos you submit. Our medical team follows strict guidelines to make sure we only treat you when it's safe and appropriate to do so. It’s important that you answer our questions fully and truthfully, and read any information we provide.

If, for any reason, our doctor or nurse practitioner thinks it’s not safe to treat you, we’ll ask you to see a healthcare provider in person.

3. Upload photographs of your hair loss from different angles. 
4. Save your payment information - we won’t charge your card until after your consultation. Many HSA/FSA cards can be used at checkout. 
5. Complete a short consultation with a Lemonaid Health doctor or nurse practitioner. A phone call may be required depending on your state.

Our medical team will then determine if treatment with medication is safe and appropriate for you.  

If we prescribe hair loss treatment, we can ship your medication directly to you from our own Lemonaid Pharmacy. Shipping is discreet, fast and free. Alternatively, our medical team can send the prescription electronically to your local pharmacy.

Finasteride is generally safe but it can also cause serious side effects, including but not limited to allergic reaction, breast cancer, sexual dysfunction, and high-grade prostate cancer.

Risk of sexual dysfunction increases with age and can include erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, ejaculatory disorders and reduced sperm count.

Women of childbearing age shouldn't take finasteride or touch broken tablets, as finasteride can cause birth defects.
